Babies grow up way too fast, and parents’ memories of their first days with their child often get lost is a sea of excitement, emotion and exhaustion. Those first few hours and days after birth are a magical time when parents get to witness their child’s “firsts” – first baths, breastfeedings, meeting siblings or grandparents, Dad’s first diaper change, baby birthday party, going home from the hospital and just getting to gaze at their new Mommy and Daddy! The Fresh 48 session or Lifestyle Newborn session captures important moments that all too easily get lost in the fog of your “babymoon”!

A Fresh 48 photography session differs from birth photography in that I’m not taking pictures of the birthing experience but rather the new family in a candid way before they leave the hospital. I will pre-book your Fresh 48 session so that I am available within the first two days after your baby’s birth.
A Fresh 48 session is also very different than hospital photography or newborn photography. Hospital photography typically does not include pictures of your newborn being held by you, his or her siblings or other family members. Most hospital photography is posed, lasting just a few minutes, and doesn’t capture your baby’s true, fresh self or the joy felt by everyone in the family. The purpose of a Fresh 48 is to capture this new family just as they are!
Session includes:
-The Fresh 48 Session takes place within the first 48 hours of birth. The sooner the better!
It can take place at the hospital, birth center or at home and will last approximately 60-90 minutes.
-Lifestyle photography – unposed, natural or available light. A mix of black and white and soft color images. A Fresh 48 has no props or baby posing making it is much more casual and natural.
-Digital download of edited images with print release.
-Includes same-day Facebook sneak peek for you to share with friends and family.
Lifestyle Newborn
$350
Let me tell the story of your newborn. A lifestyle newborn session captures baby as she really is. With family interaction being the focus, a lifestyle newborn session is the perfect chance to document that new baby, at home, with little to no posing. These sessions focus on that sweet baby in her natural environment, the family connections and all those special moments.
Session includes:
-A 1.5-2 hour portrait session in your home
-Lifestyle photography – unposed, natural or available light. A mix of black and white and soft color images. A lifestyle newborn session has no props or baby posing making it is much more casual and natural.
-Digital download of edited images with print release.
